Michelle Johnson Post:Technology and Learner Motivation in Library Instruction: A study of Personal Response Systems
This is Michelle blogging-can't get access to blog directly. This presentation was done by the Library staff and how they used i-clickers. They were trying to engage their students during the orientation period to the library. Honestly I give them credit for their presentation and the continued study they are doing. However, they are using the i-clicker in the most inefficient way, recording pre and post test results of the students. The school obtained the clickers and staff was basically told to use them so this is why I believe they have not thought of a more interactive means of utilizing them. I was disappointed in the overall content because it did not tell me anything that I did not all ready know. The audience did give them some suggestions on how to make these sessions more engaging to future students which they seemed to think were good ideas.
